Scale-Up4Rehab Spring Meeting in Hasselt Moves Blended Rehabilitation Forward

Last week, partners of the Scale‑Up4Rehab gathered in Hasselt, Belgium for the Spring Meeting on March 19, 2026. The meeting brought together consortium members to review progress and continue working towards one shared goal: scaling innovative solutions that support more accessible, personalized rehabilitation across Europe.

The meeting was organized by Sanne Broeder and Karolien Vanstraelen from In4Care, one of the project partners. Their coordination helped create a collaborative environment where partners could exchange insights, align on project developments, and discuss the next steps for implementation.

A key focus of the discussion was the role of blended rehabilitation, combining digital tools with traditional care pathways. Within the project, partners are working together to enable rehabilitation that is not only effective but also better tailored to individual patient needs. One of the solutions contributing to this ambition is Uptimise, a digital rehabilitation platform designed to support both practitioners and patients through more personalized care pathways.

Although not all partners were able to attend in person, the meeting was organized in a hybrid format, allowing participants from across the consortium to join remotely and actively contribute to the discussions. This approach ensured that collaboration could continue seamlessly, reinforcing the strong partnership at the heart of the project.

Representing Health Valley, Sandra Kruijdenberg and Pim joined the meeting to contribute to the ongoing work within the consortium and share insights from the Dutch innovation ecosystem.

The Spring Meeting demonstrated once again how important cross-border collaboration is for accelerating healthcare innovation. By bringing together healthcare providers, technology developers, research organizations, and innovation networks, the project continues to move closer to its ambition: making high-quality rehabilitation more accessible across North-West Europe.

With new insights gained and clear next steps defined, the consortium now continues its work toward the next phase of the project.

On to the next steps. 🌱
